So many amazing items have been around so long we no longer appreciate how really remarkable they are. Imagine a liquid mixture that can be applied to any shape in almost any color conceivable. Imagine that that liquid will dry and protect the surface applied to and that the thickness of that dried film is only a few thousandths of an inch. Also imagine that this liquid is extremely easy to obtain and that the cost of the material is only about 10 cents per square foot. It can be used to change the color or protect a surface whether inside or outside. You have probably guessed I am referring to paint.
I have worked with paint in one way or another for the last 34 years and I am grateful to have worked with such an interesting and useful product. As a chemist for Benjamin Moore Paints I learned about all the various ingredients in paint and the high technology that goes into making the products perform as they do. I learned to appreciate what makes some products better than others and am very proud to sell only the best quality products available to our customers. Although not a normal topic of conversation at most cocktail parties, I can go on and on about paint quality, and believe me, all paints are not the same.
