UNDERSTANDING MATERIALS
with
ANDRE MARTINEZ
Join Andre, internationally recognized decorative painter, for this two day intensive professional level class in which you will learn life-long decorative painting skills.
Learn how a refined tool kit of acrylic materials will help you skip steps and save money in your decorative painting business. Discover shortcuts to making exquisite finishes. Learn how to intermix the tool kit to make those hard to find translucent "dye like" colors, control the working time, viscosity, absorption, overall performance of you materials and save money in the process.
The class features the Proceed Professional Deocrative Painting System, a product line that is manufactured by Golden Artist Colors and specifically designed for the decorative painter. Andre worked in collaboration with Golden, other master painters Pierre Finkelstein and Pascal Amblard to design this product line.
This class will focus on hands-on training and understanding acrylic and acrylic compatible materials. Students will get practice glazing, troweling, distressing, watermarking, wall preparation and much much more! Andre isn't a 'faux' teacher... he's a real teacher and he will teach you to 'faux' faster, smarter, and better!
This class starts at 9:00 am and is
in our upstairs classroom on Leetsdale. Please park in our back, upper
parking lot on the north side of the building. From there you can just
walk into the east door to our 2nd floor where the class will be held.

- June 20th, 2009, Saturday--Pete will be demonstrating several great finishes for the
floor, or counter tops. Two products are made by Deich called
SpreadStone and SpreadRock. A third product, my favorite is SkimStone.
They are easy to apply but watching a demo will get you very comfortable
with handling these products. This class starts at 9:00 am and is in
our upstairs classroom on Leetsdale. Please park in our back, upper
parking lot on the north side of the building. From there you can just
walk into the east door to our 2nd floor where the class will be held.

- June 27th, 2009 Saturday--This class is a must for painting contractors who need to
increase their profitability. It is a presentation of the VERY BEST
ESTIMATING SOFTWARE for painters that is on the market. It was designed
by the senior estimator for National Coatings to cover everything you
need to consider before bidding the next painting job. If you do not
make an acceptable profit on every job, you might as well just stay
home. Don't shoot from the hip. Learn how to bid RIGHT, so if you do
get the job, you will make money. At lease expose yourself to what is
available to you and see if it is not something that will make you more
professional and profitable. This class starts at 9:00 am and is in our
